The LP business model can be unpleasant (and it is) but they have an excellent product, even with the free version. In addition, also with BW if you want some extra features you have to pay. Little things, but all summed they makes the difference. But, again, it looses in features and usability with LP.įor example with LP you make a single click to fill in both username and password to login, with BW you need 2 click, one for the username and separate one for the password. The only password manager I found comparable to LP is Bitwarden and I’m using it on a separated Firefox account. Option 2: Secret Server also has a migration tool that can be used to migrate data from PasswordSafe, KeePass and Password Corral. Import Secrets inside your Secret Server.

I mean: LP works on almost any website and mobile app, KeePass doesn’t (in my experience). To import into Secret Server (from Installed Edition or Online Edition): Go to Tools. It's important to note that CSV is a plain. If you're switching to any of the services in our guide, CSV is the option to use.

I’ve tried the so popular KeePass and had a very bad experience, because it lacks in features compared to LP and has a poor usability. LastPass has two export options: a CSV file or an encrypted file. First open your KeePass database or create a new one. I’ve tried several password manager along the years and IMHO nothing can compare with LastPass in terms of features and, mainly, usability. Once you have your passwords exported, importing this file into KeePass is an equally simple task.

I am a long time user of Last Pass and I’m currently using the paid version. Under Upload the exported file to LastPass, choose from the following: Drag and drop the XML file exported.
